I actually created this last night but the pictures didn't show the real colors so I took this picture this morning in the sunlight. I didn't have the actual colors for the challenge today but I think I came close using this technique that Jennifer McGuire showed. I heat embossed the Mondo Hydrangea and leaf images with white embossing powder. Then I took my Salty Ocean distress ink pad and rubbed it over the entire panel that the images were embossed on until the paper was totally saturated with the ink. Next I painted with clear clean water all of the petals and the leaf. This lifted the blue color and made it much lighter. Before it was dry I painted on the lavender distress ink onto the petals and the Twisted Citron distress ink onto the leaf. After this was dry I die cut the images and placed them on top of watercolor paper that I lightly washed with the distress inks. The panel is backed with fun foam and the flower is adhered with foam tape for dimension. I colored over the flower with my clear Wink of Stella glitter pen.

A really lovely card! Very crisp and striking, with your big beautiful hydrangea!
