How cool to revisit old challenges which become new challenges and make for such fun! I used the Side Spring Fold over in the tutorial section. And as Beate mentions, once you get the folds, the rest is icing (well, that's my paraphrase!) I had in mind to just make a Spring fold, but after a search, I HAD to try the Side Spring...give it a fold.
The colors for this weeks Color Challenge, What's Black and White and Red all over were perfect for an elegant card. Thanks bejoyce. I used a scrumptious red damask DP for the diamond. The Art Gone Wild silhouette woman was fussy cut and placed with offset on the diamond to showcase the damask pattern. I added the pearl necklace. The quote: "ART is a SHADOW of what a person is thinking" is from a Tim Holtz set (#100). It was inked on black cs and embossed with Silver Pearl. The German scrap was placed on top to draw the eye to the sentiment. All the shadows that appear in the photo were a happy serendipity! Can you see the shadow of her necklace and the shadows of the netting and her shoes?
I was most definitely thinking deep with this playful creation. Now I am off to create a special envie to slide her into. I appreciate your comments, they encourage my creativity.

Susan, your designs are SO unique and fun to see! Love your creative spirit and I also enjoy reading your description. The German scraps you mention just intrigue me. Love the way you did the focal image on the that beautiful damask too!

Some of your sentiments are SO COOL! I love this one as it's so true and red, black and white are one of my favorites. This is exceptional, and your shadow detail is just plain over the top.

How awesome! I really like fun folds and paper engineering (You KNOW this...) and your card is fabulous art layered on top of a tricky fold. Clever, and beautiful! Love the sentiment.
