Ok, before I get thrown out by the Challenge Police, I do not know how that blue got in there. You know when you know what the colors are, and then you go work on something, and then two hours later, something happens and you don't know how? Well, maybe I can consider the watercolored blue my neutral for today.....sheesh.
Anyway, the intent was to do the three colors for CC565, and then I got going and just forgot what I was doing. I was thinking, "Oh what fun it would be if I had some really cool contrast for the flower...."
I cut the black flower from the Rose Garden Thinlits die set four times. Once in black, and three more times from a gelli print I had made with orange and red paints (don't read the "orange" part...that color isn't in there either...). All of the inner pieces were in a pile, and I decided to randomly just make a puzzle and put them back in. Using the three different cuts made for different inner piece coloring, and that was kinda cool.
The sentiment is stamped in Archival Black on vellum, then embossed with Black Detail EP. I added some of my favorite DP (it has the most wonderful black and white papers - on this one the black is shiny and embossed) down the side for interest. Reminds me of a piano keyboard that way!
Thanks for taking a peek!

Such a pretty card- sometimes stuff happens when we are creating ya know- as for the challenge police- they don't have any position with the color challenge- we laid them off years ago with no recall rights (lol)

Ha - funny story about how the "blue got in there"! I have done that myself when you just get so into the process! You have a lovely result however - love the black and white stripes for contrast.

Your description was fun to read! You get a dispensation, because your card is so amazing! I love the jigsaw color variations of the rose, and the black/white striped paper is perfect down the edge!
