Karen is our hostess this week and she chosen lost lagoon (I subbed pool party), island indigo, pear pizzazz - desert is embossing. I made 2 cards and for this one I used that awesome technique of brayering and stamping on the ef (side with the sizzix label) before running the cs through the Big Shot. So cool!! I did add some additional color in some lighter spots with a very small sponging tool that I have had for years, so I don't even know what it's called (the sponge is a bit like a q-tip). Then I added some black lines to the trees with a marker, stamped the birds, matted the panel, and made the sentiment strip. Such a fun technique! Come and join in the challenge - you may be our next favorite!!

You've created a beautiful forest, Maura. Wonderful techniques you've used to achieve it.

A wonderful card and who doesn't like hearing someone is praying for them? A powerful impact all the way around!

Oh my Maura, so beautiful! I love your scene and eb folder stamped trees. The colors, trees and birds are just perfect! TFS my friend. Here is my CT1115 Christmas card using the same folder and technique. I loved the technique so much I made 9 for the holidays :-)

This is my favorite new technique (new to me, I learned it this Fall when that cool embossing folder came around), and the card you've made using it is just stunning. Wonderful job coloring around the birch trees, which can be tricky! I love the pines in the background and the birds are a perfect touch. Into my faves!
