I am so happy that I was able to play along today with Stacy's HYCCT1506 challenge! I am also playing along with Joan's fun challenge to use watercolored die cuts.
I created the background and hearts with the wrinkle free distress technique. I didn't want my background to compete with the hearts so I didn't add lots of splatters to this one, just two swipes through the watery, inky color.
It's difficult to tell but I used Wink of Stella brush on the hearts and snowy branch.
Even though I cut out each of the elements I still used my MISTI on this project! I use the MISTI for just about ALL of my stamping. Before the MISTI I would toss lots of images in the trash because I didn't get ink coverage evenly on the image or sentiment. With the MISTI I just ink the stamp again, close the lid and viola! Perfectly aligned, stamping!

Love this background. You sure can teach me a few things about backgrounds. All of your different techniques are wonderful. That water colored bird is just precious
