First Christmas card for 2015!
I began by rubbing Distress inks onto my card front then I rubbed water through a stencil for interest and splattered with white paint. While that dried, I did a loose watercolor on the poinsettia and added some black pearls to the center. Lastly, I embossed the edges with white powder and did the sentiment that way too.

Karen, this is just stunning. Love the stenciling and the embossed edge. I've never thought of doing that.

Sensational and stunning are two words which come to mind - the depth of red just pops, and I love the white speckles.... beautiful layout, and with the way you've painted the poinsettia leaving white space makes it stand out even more!

Karen, this is gorgeous! I tried earlier to get onto the internet to comment on your blog, but it's so busy. I absolutely love the red and this fabulous poinsettia! What a "wow" card this is, my sweet friend, and it's a perfect card for the inspiration painting you chose! Hugs!
