You may look at this & say "that's 3 colors"...but those are the 3 colors in an Alexandrite...purple, blue & green. It isn't one single color. As a June baby, that's the stone I always preferred as my birthstone & I had one my dad gave me when I was little & I just loved it because it had so many colors.
I put the lily image in my Misti & stamped it first w/ Memento, colored it w/ Copics then stamped over it w/ Versafine. I repeated this on a second image & fussy cut 2 sets of petals to pop up on top of the original 2 flowers. The lily panel was first die cut w/ a matting basics die, then I used one of the Leafy Edged Border dies to cut the lower edge. I had to do a little out of the box on a few of the petals to keep from cutting them off. The lower white portion was trimmed down some to allow the blue layer to show through. I also trimmed around several of the petals on the right to insert the greeting ovals.
Thanks so much for looking! Closeups, the inside & the Copic colors are on my blog: The Write Stuff

Alexandrite is indeed gorgeous, and you are so right, it is three colors in one. Your lilies are beautiful, Julie!

Oh my, Julie - this card is just stop-in-your-tracks GORGEOUS!! I've never heard of alexandrite before, but those colors really make me wish that was my birthstone instead of boring old topaz!

Stunning flower in a stunning setting! Love the colours and dimension you've given your flower. Actually your card reminds me of a ring with a curved band. Whether that was intensional or not I love it!

Oh so gorgeous! I am not familiar with the color tones of Alexandrite, according to your card you are one lucky lady to have it as your birthstone! The flower and colors are a stunning work of art!
