I just got my owl from Serendipity Stamps last week, and Kathleen's challenge was great for combining with their current "Monochrome" blog challenge!
For the base, I embossed card with a polka dot ef and sponged heavily with browns, and then rubbed a little metallic rub-on over it. For the next layer, I used a crackle ef and sponged on lots of browns. The acorns and leaves are cut from cork, I added a little colour with Inktense pencils, some detailing with a fine black pen, and added them over the twine.
The owl is coloured with pretty much all the brown Inktense pencils, and has Glossy Accents on his beak.
