Jan is our hostess for the MMTPT356 Teapot Heaven challenge.
As soon as I read her lovely story about Mrs Cherry Teapot getting broken, I knew that I wanted to use the Stained Mosaic technique for part of my card, to represent all the broken shards. For the heavenly aspect - I combined the seaside and a little music.
I stamped my girl on some card, masked her and stamped the hymn music. The sky is Gelatos, blended with a baby wipe, the sea is pencils and the foreground is sponged distress inks. I added some Stickles along the surf line, and coloured the girl with Inktense and Polychromos pencils.
For the mosaic layer, instead of stamping an image I used DP which I stamped over with Weathered and French Script, and then used my background mosaic stamp as per the tutorial. I wrapped twine around it and added some little shells - the scallop shell is embossed with clear EP.
For the base layer, I scribbled Gelatos on the background stamp, misted with water and stamped. Stitched the edges, and then added the embossing to fill up the blank space a bit. To finish off I added a sentiment cut from white card, sponged with blues and embossed with one coat clear EP and one of Iridescent Ice.
I took care to use at least 4 different media, so this is also for Lydia's MIX121 challenge.

There is no place quite like the beach -- your coloring and scene is gorgeous and beautiful!!! Makes me wish I lived close to the beach!
