Well, I spent way too much time looking at all the Barbies, lol. I was inspired by THIS Barbie with her light blue dress surrounded by all the colorful purses.
My sis & I had Barbies & my favorite one had long red hair. We didn't have all the fancy outfits these dolls have, but every year for Christmas, our aunt Sandy would make us new Barbie outfits. I loved those the best! I kept that Barbie & her outfits & let my DD play with her. Apparently Barbie joined the Marines during this time & now sports a high & tight haircut.
Anyway, After die cutting the lt blue lattice paper, the white doily & white lacey square, I stamped and die cut about a bajillion butterflies on some polka dot papers then folded the wings upward & attached them around the doily. I added a blue center for the doily & a big polka dot button.
Thanks so much for looking! Closeups are on my blog: The Write Stuff

Julie, I love your take on the photo inspiration! A circle of colorful butterflies instead of handbags! So pretty! Wasn't this a fun challenge. Took me back too! We didn't have very many clothes either but the mom of one my sister's friend's made us a bunch. One year I received the Ken doll that had a fuzzy beard you could change out. My mom disguised it as my brother's gift but when I saw the box under the tree, I knew!!!
