MIX117 = fire. I used a butane candle lighter on my organza ribbon....at a HEALTHY distance before I was labeled the "Neighborhood Arsonist".
QFTD259 = Ann( annsforte3) I was inspired by this card of Ann's since I have the same image. Hers is more elaborate than mine and monochromatic which mine is not. Ann has a lovely gallery and is one of the kind cardmakers who leaves many thoughtful and encouraging comments for others.
A BIG congrats, Ann......enjoy your special week.

This card is just darling Sallie!! The colors and design are so fresh...the tiny bit of green lining the red gingham is such an artistic accent. And your coloring of the poppies against the black background is great...fabulous impact!

Oh, my...you're a brave soul putting a lighter to the ribbon. I use my heat gun. We sure don't want your neighbors calling you an arsonist! I love this silhouette stamp and you did a beautiful job. Love the colors

Sallie, this is beautiful! Your water coloured poppies are gorgeous. The red gingham panel adds such a warm homey look to this card. Heating the ribbon makes it look so wonderful. I will try that sometime.
