Today's CC is Wild Pirouettes on the Sahara which is Wild Wasabi, Pink Pirouette and Sahara Sand, and dessert is Shabby Chic.
My card started around the button with my friend Faith in mind. She is a fellow crafter, but does not make cards, so she loves getting my cards. I knew she would love the button and the embroidered piece, so I started there and designed my card around it. I love doing flower arrangements so I had a lot of fun doing this card. I have green leaves in the mix which I cut from tulle, typically me, tore apart some other flowers and added whole flowers to make my arrangement. The main panel is on foam strips and I used wire cutters to take the back of the button off. It comes from a second hand store downtown that sells vintage goods. Thanks for looking...
The background colour looks blue in the picture, but it is greyish, for the Sahara Sand which has a greyish tone.

This meets Shabby Chic so well. Your distressed edges look so good - I am not game to try this yet - I know what it would come out like - a total mess - must keep practicing. Your friend will totally love this card.
