Hello Everyone! This week's CAS319 challenge is to make it masculine. My hubby has a birthday at the end of the month so I created this for him.
I think my husband was born in the wrong century actually. He is a restless wanderer, preferring the company of trees, streams, and wild things to the clamor and energy of civilization!
The sentiment fits him so well for although his heart longs to wander he is not lost. I used my favorite background technique in shades of green. I think it captures the Appalachian backcountry in Spring and Fall. I can't tell you how many wet hikes I have taken with my hubby. The trees take on a dark glint and everything is a watery green.
TFL and I hope you will join us at the CAS challenge this week!
Thank you Janeen for the gift of the trees die cut!!!!

I totally understand the wet hike experience, I love it too! The smell of the moist earth in spring and the wonderful colors that are emerging; your background is vividly recreating being out there, I cannot wait for another hike. Beautiful card!

I have a few family members akin to your husband, so I think your card is just so perfect for the outdoorsy type! The background is fabulous in both design and color. Love this!!

I enjoy wandering, Angie, and I get lost easier than I care to admit) however, if I ended up in such a lovely space as you've created here, I would forget I was lost and just enjoy the scenery...until nighttime anyway))!!! Love the gorgeous bg effect and the fab verse.

Love the shades of green! A perfect card for that outdoor guy. My DH is the same way - hiking through the woods, or out in his canoe fishing and he's a happy man. Social events - neh!

Great card, Angie - your DH sounds like he and mine would have gotten along famously, preferring the solitude and peace of nature to the hustle bustle that our world is today! Love the watery green background with the silhouetted trees - so VERY masculine and perfect for your "nature boy!"
