Hello,
Well I saw the TLC challenge and slunk down in my chair because I have never liked acrylic block stamping but when I saw Judy's sample and her explanation of what she did I thought "yes!" I will do that. So my first atempt with ink pads did not work for some reason even after misting, the ink would not come off the block. I then tried spray inks and water and stamped the entire panel as it was splashing up on the part I wasn't going to stamp anyway! When I was finished I was happy because it looked like a rainy sky (sort of). I had this stamp from Crissy Armstrong (Whimsy Stamps) that I have been wanting to use. I stamped it on the water/ink stamped background then again on white so I could color the image and cut it out! I even cut out the little flower and leaves! The grass area I was able to color with the Copics.
I used a spot/blotchy spot EF on the lavender panel, lined with yellow panel and mounted on a white card after wrapping with ribbon.
I kinda like it! Much better than I was thinking! I do need a sentiment but I ran out of time and couldn't think of one yet!...Might have to add it inside with a little die cut Hello on the front maybe...Tell me what you think!
Thanks for looking!

Gorgeous! I am so glad you tried again. One time I have a fabulous result with this technique and the next I am not happy. Your background is stunning! Wow! You are great at fussy cutting! Your critters are so cute and this is a beautiful card!

Oh my gosh how cute is this. I love the effect you have achieved. I don't think this needs a sentiment, just looking at would make anyone smile. The bright colours are such fun. Love it all my friend.

So sweet! Robin, the background is beautiful and perfect for this adorable image, which you have colored so beautifully! An adorable image, that you have made even more so with your coloring!
