My third of four cards for the April Christmas card challenge to fussy cut Christmas florals. Sorry, no fussy cutting on this one.
I used Distress markers to color my stamp, misted it with water and stamped the image onto watercolor paper. I used a small paint brush to blend the ink a little better in areas where it was a little splotchy. I was going to add some color to the background, but I really like the clean look of this.
After it dried, I placed it in the Misti to stamp the sentiment. I'm so glad I did, it tool three tries to get it this good. It could be better, but I decided I would quit while I was ahead. It's very difficult to get a crisp image with skinny stamps on watercolor paper, even the smooth side.
You can see the rest of what I did to create the card. What you can't see if the clear Wink of Stella that I added to the petals, and the sparkly stripes in the thin strip behind the focal.
As always, thanks for ;looking!

Jody, one of the first things I noticed was how crisp and clean your sentiment was... I would never know you had trouble. The stitched die cut matting and the gold nail heads are the perfect for your flower.

I LOVE this stamped image, what a beautiful card!!! I personally wouldn't fussy-cut it either, somehow it would not work as well as being directly on the white cs... This is gorgeous!!! I THINK I may have this stamp and clearly I need to ink it up--what an inspiration here!!! Into my favorites it goes!
How smart to start working on your Christmas cards, I need to do that!
I keep seeing notations on the "misti", can you explain how it works or send me a link or info on the company who makes it, etc? Sorry to ask...
