I have had an urge lately to get back to tatting and since it is close to Valentine's Day a heart seemed to make a lot of sense. This one is needle tatted as opposed to using a shuttle. I also made the envelope and cut the edges using decal edge scissors and fancied up the flap with the lace folder from SU. The edging (Dancing Dolly Lace Border) is from Cheery Lynn and the dot background is from Darice.

Oh so fantastic Sue! My great aunt tatted and I remember my mom (a wonderful knitter) trying to learn. I have her shuttles. This is truly inspirational! I'm fumble fingered in the handwork arts but I think I will dig those shuttles out. I adore your card. Beautiful!

Sue, this is awesome! I am so impressed that you can tat..........my grandmother (and grandfather too!) could do it, and Gram always had a tatted handkerchief in a pocket. What you did with that envelope is fabulous too! I think it would be fun to do that for most any envie I am sending, and how great it looks as part of your card. Stunning!!!
