Needed a special sympathy card for a friend. This week's color challenge worked well. Kraft/Crumb Cake, Real Red, and Early Espresso are some lovely colors together.
I am sad my month as a guest hostess for this challenge is up - I have had so much fun! So glad I rediscovered this challenge a few months ago. Playing with color as the jumping off point is a perfect way to start a card, and I so amazed at how different all the cards come out. Fun stuff.

Had some dessert with this one - two punched hearts (one inside) and a die cut which I always count as a punch because the Punchkateers do. I plan to make another card this week too as I love these colors!!!
Anne Ryan made a comment about me kind of having some mixed media going on here - I thought about that and I really do. I used some SU! ink to change the color and tones on my red banner - it had some yellow in it and I sponged it away. I used reinker to change the color of my seam binding - it was a vanilla with a touch of green. Lastly, I changed the color on my little cog tucked in the middle of the heart at the top with some water color - it was black and I made it early espresso. Funny how sometimes we don't think really deeply about what we do - it just kind of magically happens.

Nancy, you have done yourself and the CC Team proud with your beautiful creations every week. Job well done!! This card is exquisite in its detail...all in the vintage/collage style. That "ivory" angel is such a precious addition for this sympathy card.

Nancy, it has been such a pleasure having you as a guest designer this month. All your cards have been beautiful, but I think this one might be my favorite! So much going on here, topped off with an angel. A truly lovely sympathy card.
