For Linda's WTUI challenge this week ~ Ovals, which I was able to combine with Vicky's challenge to the CCEE Stampers, which was to use a silhouette stamp and include a sentiment on the front.
I broke away from my usual florals and pulled out this very old bird stamp. I used masking to sponge just the oval centre of the embossing folder with sunrise colours, after stamping and embossing the bird. Then I masked that off while I used the Faux Patina technique on the rest. I finished it off with some Stickles round the oval to help add definition and clean it up a little.

That technique is fab, Sabrina. What a terrific bg for your wonderful bird silhouette. Love all the sparkle!

How pretty is this. Such a lovely bg under our visitor and such a neat vintage look with the embossing...well none. Its nice to bring out some older stamps and re-use them...TFS..:0)

Love your little black bird. I have one who sits on top of my Ginkgo tree and sings just at sunset and sunrise - his song is so beautiful. Love the sunrise/sunset background you have created on your oval.
