This is the best I can do for Dina's MIX100 Hue, Tint and Shade challenge. It's the first time I've used this stencil, so I wasn't quite sure where I was going with it. I started by sponging the solid shape with Mustard Seed. Then using the detailed stencil I outlined most of it with a soft black pencil over the yellow, and sponged gesso over it. That wasn't enough contrast, so I then sponged over it with white acrylic paints. I added more colour with Wild Honey and Worn Lipstick.
For the sky, I stencilled the stars with silver acrylic paint, and when it was dry, shaved chalk pastels in blues, purple and black over it and brushed it in. I sprayed with fixative, then added the sentiment and a black embossed edge. I finished it off with a few touches of Stickles.
