Peggy is our hostess this week, and like me, she is finished with red and green for a while; so I was pleased when she challenged us to use Basic Black, Whisper White and Hello Honey. Her dessert option is "Words of Encouragement." I've always loved this quote from Eleanor Roosevelt, and enjoyed the opportunity to use this stamp on my card, along with some small pieces of DS papers that I've really enjoyed.
I sponged the white layer while it was still in the die, giving a lovely white border. Love that technique! I also sculpted the flowers slightly with an embossing stylus and mouse pad.
Thanks for stopping by, and please play along with us this week. Merry Christmas to you and best wishes for a happy, healthy New Year!

I've always loved that quote too! Your card is beautifully balanced. The die cuts for the sentiment are so elegant and the sponging looks fabulous. Your pretty little flowers soften the edge perfectly!

Beautiful! The patterned papers really set off the sentiment label, and the flowers are gorgeous!
