I finally used a stencil! Yay! This weekÂ’s ODBD Shining the Light challenge is to use stencils or to sponge. I colored up my Iris, sponged and pierced it, added my sentiment using the fish-tail pennant from the new Pennants dies, and then used a stencil for my background. Kept it simple by adding some dyed seam binding and pearls. Hope you like it!

Sister, this is gorgeous! I loved your blog post (What Friend we have in Jesus), a song with a tender memory. Your designs speak to the heart. ♥

Cheryl, it always pays to check out galleries of artists that I like because I find beauties that I missed. This is gorgeous. Your stenciled bkg is perfect. The big purple bow looks great with the design of your card. Just stunning.

Oh my!!!!!!!! This is SOOOOO lovely!!!! Elegant details and my absolute favorite color of purple--can't lose!!! What amazing coloring, I just get lost in all of the details that balance SO perfectly and I someday hope and pray I'll be able to color like this, with LOTS of work. Somehow me and copics don't get along and I wish we did...
Congratulations being chosen in Favorites of the Week, I have put this in my favorites and look forward to coming back and looking through your gallery. I love ODBD stamps, am a big fan...

If somebody asked me what my favourite colour was, I would not likely say shades of purples and plums, but every time I use them on paper, I am most pleased with the results!! There is just something so rich and elegant about creating florals in these tones and this beauty just goes to prove it for me once again, Cheryl;))!!
