Summer means a lot of things to me: pastels, flowers, beautiful birds, convertibles and beaches. I chose to use pastel flowers for the "Summer Lovin" challenge.
For the MIX "Part of the Package" challenge. I added netting that was on our New Year's Day ham. Had been wondering how I would ever find a use for it! I adhered the net with glossy accents and used some on the flower center as well. The flower image is from Pinterest. Matted that on dark red. For the next mat, I used the alcholol ink agate technique that I found on YouTube. Had to do this twice - the 1st one was too dark and didn't go well with the back ground in my focal piece. I'll save the dark one for something later.

Oh I LOVE the delicious background you created! It goes soooo perfectly with your downloaded flower from Pinterest! Your crossing digital with handmade is extraordinarily well thought out and wonderfully executed! SO inspiring is your added use of the netting from the ham. At first I thought maybe somehow you had made it do add to the crayon challenge and I was wondering how you accomplished that (giggle). More amazing is how you attached it so creatively!
Beautiful card my friend..
