I think I am loosing it. My mind that is.....let me explain. On Tuesday I got in the car to go to the grocery store as usual, started to idle it out of the garage while carefully watching the right front end so as not to hit the file cabinets. You see, we just recently started parking in the garage which is a tight fit. ANYWAY, while backing up I noticed that the visor on the passenger side was down, so I flipped it up. Little did I know that when I flipped it up somehow I hit the garage door button.
Suddenly I realized the car wasn't moving right, I quickly glanced in the mirror and noticed the door. After yelling "OH CRAP!" I pulled forward and got out to survey the damage.
I tried the garage door but it didn't work quite right. I noticed it had unhooked itself. Fortunately I was able to hook it back up and give it a little straightening job. Whew.
I took a look at the car and it looked fine.......then I really took a look at the car and there were these two long scratches on both corners of the back. OH CRAP again!
Well, long story short, DH didn't kill me. The garage door looks and operates just fine and the car is fine as long as those scratches don't rust!
So today my card is showing how the inside of my brain must look. ALL scrambled up! I used a new Tim Holtz stencil that I have had for way over a month and not used it. I also used a Friskar shape plate that I might have used before but I have had it like forever!!!
Well, I still can't believe I did that.....the car thing. I must be getting old or something! hehe Have a great day all. TFL :0)
Hi Sis!
P.S. this started out as a clean and simple card but every time I touched it a smudge appeared so I tried to cover them up! Must be a crazy brain thing.

Being that we've never met, Cathy, my dh would wonder how you could create an exact replica of my mind;))!! Thankfully, the new garage doors we have will reopen if they sense an object underneath, but that doesn't protect any unsuspecting picnic tables that are within backing range:(!! At least you missed the filing cabinets...right??!! Love the talent you have to put a story in art and word.

He, he, he! Funny story Cathy. Surprisingly familiar to me as far as backing up a car and from the garage. i would say BRAVO to you just for that. Me, my parking is forward, I am good at parallel (go figure) but backing up straight is not my thing. Anywho, your card is fantastic, I see that face on a stamp my dear, getting any ideas. hugsxo

GF you could write and illistrate such interesting books!
Your stories always entertain and your artwork is beauty to behold!
DH and I were gone...youngest DD home alone...backed out of garage and the entire garage door FELL! It could have been so much worse! Glad you are ok and car not too bad either! This is how the mind works as we age...it just skips here and there and flutters like a butterfly!
