This card was made for the Friday Free For All challenge, F4A214 (3/28/14), "Round & Round". The instruction for the challenge was to use circles in the background. I find circles easy to use, everywhere but in the background. I guess that's what makes it a challenge!
The circles in the background shown here were made with a PapertreyInk impression plate called Sunshine. It has been in my drawer for years and has NEVER been used until now (how embarrassing to admit this!). Seeing the name of the impression plate gave me inspiration for a sunshine theme for the card. There is a reason I call myself Captain Obvious!....
The punched sun and bird in the paper excelsior nest were in my leftovers box from cards that I made earlier this month, so they served as the bones for the card. I added a simple branch die cut to tie the shapes together visually. Finished it off with an a favorite friendship saying on the sun and a fun brad from my stash that happened to match the soft sky card base. A "simple" 10 minute card that took 1 1/2 hours to complete. Captain Obvious needs to work on her production time....tee hee...
It was kind of you to pop in to look at my bird nesting in the sunshine. Thank you!
