I have been taking an online class from Martha Lever, called, Drawing the Girls. So today I decided that instead of using Grace in my art journal book I'd share her with you first. I drew Grace on a piece of graph paper (which you can still see) to get my spacing correct. Actually I like the look of the graph paper (especially for journaling). Once I had her sketched, I began to color her with Prismacolor pencils. I trimmed her out and laid her over the designer paper. Then created a little dress and collar. So that she doesn't look as if she is just pasted down on paper, I used one of my Derwent Graphic Medium pencils to go around her, then softened with a blending stump. I added some Tim Holtz words and those wonderful hearts from Sweet n Sassy Stamps heart die set.
I'm thrilled and plan on incorporating Grace in my first art journal. Thank you for the opportunity to share my art and heart.
