I have been away for a couple of days so just catching up with the CAS Challenge tonight. This week Gail chose our challenge which is to use neutrals. I inked up an acrylic block with Sahara Sand, sprayed lightly with a water mister, and stamped onto vanilla c/s. I stamped the tree in Early Espresso onto this. Adhered to Early Espresso c/s with scalloped border and added the ribbon, candy dots and sentiment. Scored the right side of the card.
TFL!

This is so pretty! My husband was looking over my shoulder when your card appeared and he said it looks like artwork - a high compliment, indeed! We both liked the motley background that you did with ink spritzed on an acrylic block, I must give that a try after seeing this. And your fussy cut sentiment merges into the design much better than a traditional sentiment panel, another good idea I must try! TFS this inspiring creation.

I love the way your background echoes the shape of your trees. What a peaceful, calm, card for a sorrowful occasion. It's one we need however and this is lovely sympathy card. TFS

I have to agree with Susie on this one! That background captivated me! My block stamping never comes out THAT good, that beautiful, random coloring with the dotted texture! I love the way you cut the sentiment beyond the box too! Fabulous card, Sue!

Very pretty tree silhouette. SO neat how you used the different designs and textures, like the punched edges and scoring and ribbon, so peaceful in these soft colors. Hoping you don't have to use this for a long time...TFS..:0)

This is beautiful Sue! I love that acrylic blocking misting technique and it's perfect for your sympathy card. I really like the score lines on the right side too. Really gives it dimension.

Gorgeous background....I've tried that technique before and as I recall didn't have much success. You've inspired me to try again. The way you did your sentiment is just brilliant.....this is a fabulous card....into my faves!!

...sure its got a catchy beat, but can you stamp to it?
