I saw this yesterday and just had to try it. It is by The Frugal Crafter. Check it out......details on my card....
For the MIX challenge we were to use at least 3 different layers on our cards. I took white cs and gessoed it with black gesso. Let dry.
Glued on various torn strips of a book page not putting glue on the whole strip so that after it dried I could rip it off leaving some behind.
After that I put white gesso over it, let dry then put a layer of absorbent ground over that since I was going to be water coloring.
I didn't go back to the YouTube so this was done from memory and trust me my memory isn't all that good. hehe Hopefully it at least resembles her painting a little.
To qualify this for the F4A206 challenge I wrote the word "Love" over top of one of my rocks. I also stamped a tiny bird from a misc stamp coloring it with a sharpie marker.
When done, I ran a gold leaf pen around the edges and added some black dots with ink. Oh, I also used dry wall tape and put a light molding paste on it.
Well I had so much fun creating this not knowing if it would turn out or not. For the most part, I think it turned out pretty good. After all, how can one screw up a birch tree?......Pretty easy, but not today! hehe Have a great weekend all!.......TFL :0)

Cathy this is amazing, I just scrolled back to see what stamps you used and then remember this is a Mutnik Original so it must be hand drawn LOL. I bet Curt looked over your shoulder the entire time you were creating this masterpiece. Straight into My Favs then I am off to watch the you tube. TFS xx

I think this is awesome! Wow! I love the black gesso base - that adds so much depth to the whole piece. Beautiful! Thanks for playing the mix-ability challenge!
