This is for Michelle's WT challenge today.
For the last 5 years the Christmas Card challenge here has been a great motivator for me as I try to make Christmas cards through the year. But I've felt increasingly guilty that I don't have time to comment on cards from all the other people participating in it, so this year I didn't sign up; instead I'm aiming to self-motivate. I'm also aiming to make 4 fairly similar cards each month, to be more time-efficient.
So for this set of 4, I started out with wrinkle free distress backgrounds, using a sheet of card cut into 4, and creating the background using old paper, weathered wood and tea dye.
For this pair, I then stamped over the wrinkle free distress with CAC Swirl Lace in Tumbled Glass. Then I stamped Baroque Motif swirl with Tea Dye. Then I embossed it with a Darice Snowflake ef and sponged the snowflakes with Evergreen Bough.
After that I added two torn strips of white paper for a snowy base, and then edged the other 3 sides with Versamark and gold EP.
Angel is cut from a paper bag.
Verve sentiment stamped on white card, frame coloured with a glaze pen and gel pen highlights, centre sponged, and then I used the splash from French Foliage.
Stickles along the snowy edges and these were done.
