Thank you Cathy for the wonderful sketch today and to our sample makers! Your work was inspiring. When I opened the doors to my studio this morning, the first thing my eyes spied was the Wordsworth names of Jesus stamp. That was my jumping off point and I dove right in!
I decided I wanted to create the heavens and earth on the front of an A2 card. I inked up the Stampland unmounted starry night image with the Onyx Black and embossed with clear ep. The stars were inked in with a Gelly Roll pen named Starry. IRL those stars dance across those heavens. My middle layer was a portion of the hemisphere inked with Memento Rich Cocoa. The ocean waves were from a long hoarded scrap of PaperHouse Renoir Seascape painting (circa 1879). I stamped Jesus names onto a piece of Fabscrapusa paper called 'Dreams', embossing it in Silver Pearl and cut with a Spellbinder die. It is popped above the heavens and earth. Between the layers I used German scrap in silver and a bright blue that I toned down by embossing with VersaMark and Silver Pearl ep. The banner elements were finished by snippets of vintage upholstery fabric and a woven braid that reminded me of a strand of DNA.
I was blessed in the creating of this card and it will carry me through my very stressful day job...and for that I am so very thankful. Deep breath, it is wonderful what therapy our art can do, wouldn't you say! Thank you for the gift of your time and comments. I'll be sneaking peaks on my breaks and be blessed by the gallery as well.

Oh, Susan! You are somethin' else. This is awesome and gives me ideas. That starry sky is wonderful, but I LOVE what you did with the bottom and all the little details like the lace and map! The message really packs a punch and I do know what you mean when you say it helps you through the day. Me too. Thanks for sharing.

Susan, this card came from your heart and spoke the true meaning of Who He is-all of those names! And one day every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord! (Romans 14:11) Your creation is amazing! The Father must be beaming with pride~ Hugs

What an inspiration this sentiment is indeed! We all too soon forget the true meaning of the season and need to be brought back to reality. Your creation did it for me today! tfs
