Angela (jellybean74) gave us an interesting HYCCT challenge today -- Words to Inspire. What's your mantra? What keeps you going? I don't know that it's my mantra, but I always told my kids "Nothing learned is ever wasted." So I decided to LEARN something today. I went to the SCS Tutorials to find something that I had never tried before. The Ways to Use It Challenge for today was to take the first letter of your username and make a card using a theme, sentiment, words , or color that begin with that letter. As my username begins with "C," I went to the C section of the tutorials and found Crayon Rubbed Embossing, something I had never done before. Today the Mark's Finest Papers design team is having a blog hop for this month's new releases. I was so taken with a card made by Angela Bode, one of my teammates, that I had to CASE it -- aha, another "C" word!
As far as what my username means, it's pretty simple. I collect clowns and I'm a mom!

Lois, I don't think that I have used this technique either, but you have definitely inspired me to try it... I love how the bloom looks using this....

I love your card but I think I love your story the most. So interesting how you came about making this card, Lois. Lots of inspiring thoughts, ideas and challenges were working with you. So cool!

This flower is fab, Lois. Weren't you clever (another C!) to go to the tutorials for a new slant on things. Beautiful job. ( and I knew about the clowns and being a mom)

I love that flower and BG. very pretty card!! as for your name...you know most people are a little scared of clowns! I think I would like to see your collection sometime though! I have a Hobo Kelly (think that is what he's called). It is probably about 55-60 years old. He is in a box with my Raggedy Ann and Andy! Also about 55+ years old.
