For Lori's challenge to make a card with a leaf on it. This isn't my usual leaf card, but last week I was walking to school to get my son and I saw a single yellow leaf on the sidewalk. It was still 95 degrees here and I was hot and sweaty and tired. Anyway, I saw this leaf and thought it looked so pretty there on the grey with the tiny little pebbles and cement spots around it. It made it feel a tiny bit more like fall and it also made me stop and appreciate the beauty and nature all around me, even in the suburbs, on a path I travel every day.
Whew! That was chatty! As to the card itself, easy peasy. I took the lid off my mister hueys and flicked it on the card. The wood veneer is colored with, you guessed it, gelato. (Honestly, best $12 I've spent in a while!)
