This is my second project for IC407 and Eastern Accents is our inspiration site today. I was so inspired by the whole Coastal Tidings Collection Holiday section found here: http://holiday.easternaccents.com/co...IDCategory=795
I loved the soft blue of the shells and wanted to create a monochromatic scene that would reflect the bitter cold weather on the north eastern coast line in winter. I visited Cape Hatteras, NC in November one year and there was snow on the dunes and the wind was bitter and cold but it was so beautiful. I created a frame that was sponged with bordering blue ink and then white washed with picket fence distress paint. I really love how this turned out.

Oh like I said before MANY times.........I want to sit at your craft table and watch you create!!!
I'm off to Venice, Florida next week for a week with my husband and friends and this really puts me in the mood for hunting shark's teeth. We have blue skies in Ohio but our skies are over corn fields and NOT the ocean!! ha ha

WOW!!! Oh my Kittie, unbelievable! I am so glad they have the favorites of the week and you are listed there! I am just in awe of your incredible talent! This make me think of Pensacola Beach with the sugary white sands! Your seagulls are amazing, love the shells too. Every single detail of your entire scene is perfectly placed and shaded. LOVE it all! Phenomenal!!!
