Scrapacat (Ky) asked us to use the boldest colors you have at hand. then gently tone it back down with gesso, watered down white acrylic ink, or similar choices.
I started with butterscotch, cranberry and peeled paint inks and sprayed water to lighten them. When I pulled my card thru, it mostly picked up the peeled paint color and both sides didn't pick up any color. So I got some acrylic paint (yellow) and bubble wrap to add color to the sides. Once that was dry, I started stamping. There still was quite a bit of white showing so I thought let me use my shaded lilac to sponge on some color. (I hadn't ever used it and wasn't sure how light or dark it would be.) Lastly, I added the die cut across the page.
My sentiment is a new set of alpha's that I should have practiced with! LOL oh well, we don't have to be perfect in Mix Media, right?
Ky, thank you for this challenge, I truly enjoyed it!!!

Perfection is overrated. I love the balance the yellow paint brings to the card, and I love the stamping. This is such a cheerful card! Thank you for playing my challenge!
