This weeks teaparty is a quilting bee.The cousin of one of our own teapotters has suddenly taken a severe turn for the worse and our cards are headed her family's way. Their grandmother made aprons for her 3 sisters every Christmas and then made quilts from the aprons.
I have included 2 pictures of my card (I never do this as to me it is quite vain to think someone wants to look at your card from every angle) only because it is actually quilted paper and you can't see the relief face on.
I used Crafty Secrets "Sew Special" and their paper. The lacy circle is a straight stamp which I curved on the stamp block. The "quilt" has thin batting under the paper and looks a lot puffier IRL.
I went a bit nuts with the pearls. I have an addiction to the things. the flowers is a Spellbinders die.

Batting? Seriously?? Wow! Elizabeth, this would have been a total show stopper in 2D, but the dimension that your texture and puffy batting add really puts your quilted card in a class by itself. Gorgeous colors, love the stitching. Truly a work of heart. Hugz...

Oh my, Elizabeth, this is very special and NEEDS to have 2 pictures to get the full effect of all your work - I can't believe you even put batting under the paper to make it puffier - Love those pink buttons and your sweet flower too - Love the quote, and my oh my, look at all those pearls - I am sure Karin's family will appreciate all the heart you put into the making of this gorgeous card!!
