Teapot Tuesday is here again, yahoo! Our cards are going to Jesse, a friend of Connies (stamp300). This card is in the mail and I am sure that Jessie will quickly work out I have never been to a farm in my life.
The story this week was terrific, we get extra cookies for bringing an Appaloosa horse complete with spots and dots. Sadly my Appaloosa horse, George, is still grazing in the top padock. His owner, Clyde, has started up the tractor and is going off to look for him. One of George's little mates is waiting patiently for his return....
Now for the card. Nothing went quite to plan here. The card started out as a centre step card, but I couldn't fit the little horse in (and still fit in an envelope). By the time I worked this out the adhesive tape had really taken a good grip, so I cut around the barn and the cardstock and adhered it to a stair step card.
I purchased a digi stamp from Scrappin Doodles for this, I printed it on white cardstock. I didn't have enough red dp to put in the printer so I traced around the white copy and made my own barn. I used a sharpie pen to put the lines in. I hope I haven't breached any copy write policies. If you don't hear from me for a while, I am in craft prison!!
I covered the trees with little hydrangea flowers (Martha Stewart punch) and did little green centres with liquid pearls. Inside the barn are some cows, I cut them out of last years calendar (I have probably added 2 weeks to my craft prison sentence for breaching another copywrite law).
Young Clyde on the tractor is coloured with copics and TH distress inks. I had loads of fun making this, thank you for looking and have a great week everyone.

I tried my hand at a step card this week, which is why I am late posting! I have always told you how I am in awe of your cards...well, never more than now after trying one myself. Trying to figure out what goes on what step and working out the scale is mind boggling. You remain the step card queen and I am humbled. This one is as amazing as all the others.

You may have never been on a farm but your barn ROCKS!!!! I love the little bird perched on the horses hiney...soooo cute! Your barn doors giving us a peek at the interior is genius! Your sharpie work on the barn is amazing...you are indeed an artist on many fronts! Your blackbirds reminded me of the one who came a pecking on my glass slider yesterday..Did a couple of "CAW CAWS" looking directly into my eyes and then proceeded to clean put the dry kibble in the cat dish (Our blackbbirds are HUGE we joke they could "eat hay and pull a wagon"). ANyway back to your amazing card...Young Clyde is having way to much fun on that cute cute tractor! Your hydrangea tree is just SOOO creative. I LOVE this wonderful step card and it is a favorite FOR SURE!

First of all Susie, you are just too funny for words!!!!! I don't think you'll be going to crafter's prison, but if you do, I'll bake you a cake with a file in it Secondly, your card is super fanstastic. One would never know you had any issues with putting it together. Jesse will love it.

As always you have so many fun little details here, Susie. The tree looks amazing, but I think probably my favourite thing is that I can see the barn door opens and we get to see inside too! I also love the two little birds perched over the barn door.

Okay, you are the QUEEN of gorgeous center step cards! You made your own barn? Of course you did! Lil Clyde looks just as happy as can be in the fantastic scene, Susie! Won't Jesse be thrilled to receive this wonder!

Susie you were born to be a Teapotter! I love not only how insanely creative that you are but your tales of trial and error. Your stories give me a good giggle and your cards are so dear! I love the sweet details that you have incorporated (you know that the barn wouldn't have been the same without the board lines!) and the bright, fun colors that you chose. Jesse will be wowed not only with the detail on your card but that you sent it from Australia. You have such a big heart! Hugz - enjoy your weekend my friend!
