Congrats Kim on hosting your first color challenge!! And a challenge it was, for me any how. I just couldn't seem to make these colors work for me very well no matter how many cards I made!!!! So here is the "FINAL" result. I ain't making any more cards trying to get it right I embossed my large mat using Darice's basketweave folder and my smaller label mat using the square lattice folder. I popped up my image matted in Island Indigo. I pierced along the left edge...believe me I needed dessert after all my attempts this morning to get a card done!!!! Added a couple of pearls and some ribbon to finish it off. Not completely satisfied, but it is what it is. TFL!!!

I love the piercing just on one side and ending with a pearl, magnifico! And your bow balances it out nicely! I think you did really well with these colors! When I get stumped, I usually go to my fav's and then I use lots of white like you did~Good choice!

Your result is a pretty card but....I do understand the struggle..I had it today as well and I don't think it had anything to do with the colors..oh well..tomorrow is another day, another challenge. Great texture on this and I like the paper piercing along the edges.

I know what you mean - some days it's just a struggle and who knows why. But most of the time you're the only one who knows... and that's certainly the case here! I think it's lovely!

you know, Mary...I had to go get dessert after reading your commentary! Can't believe you had such a time with these colors, for your card with it's texture and pattern just sings in the color challenge today!
