This has been one busy week and I finally had a chance to create a card for the Splitcoaststampers You Can Do It Challenge #15- Straw Technique.
This is a brand new technique for me using glossy paper, a few drops of re-inker and a straw. You need to be careful- you can get light headed doing this background :-)!!
I decided to incorporate this technique using the colors from this weekÂ’s Create with Connie and Mary CCMC248 Challenge and also this qualifies for Just Add Ink's JAI162 Try A Technique You Have Never Tried Before :-). This is a fun technique- if interested, I have free detailed instructions on My Blog
Thanks again for looking- I hope you can join in on the fun!!

Thank You so much for sharing this card!
Alas, I don't have re-inkers but... I created my background using a brayer and instead and I love how my cards turned out! I also added ribbon to mine because my cs rippled where it wasn't embossed :(
Thank you for getting me stamping yesterday - I needed some stamp therapy

I tried this technique tonight and I thought it was a little tricky. It takes a little trial and error, but the end result is pretty cool! Thanks for the inspiration. I will post my CASE soon. )

Great!! It did take me a few tries blowing thru the straw- I found it easier to almost have the straw perpendicular to the paper and blow extremely hard to move the ink (that is why I almost passed out! :-)) Looking forward to seeing your card- thanks for sharing!
