The Sisterhood of the Travellling Teapotters are camping out this week. This great challenge is for David, introduced to us by Sylvia (sillyfilly).
Allow me to set the scene. Pryce Pearson III of "THE Pearsons" and his unlikely companion Johnny are camping out at a brand new gold course about to open. The sisterhood are camping on the other side of the 18th fairway. The "girls" don't feature in this card, but I thought we were worth a mention.
Johnny and his trusty dog Benji-boy love camping and sleeping rough out under the stars. Pryce Pearson III is terribly pampered, the roughest he has slept is under 500 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets, instead of the usual 1000 count.
It was agreed that a Plan B was needed. Whilst camping out was on PP the 3rds bucket list, there was some real doubt that he could actually do it. A decision was made to load up Johnnys old jalope with all their gear and set up a camp site behind the second fairway, and PPIII would take his sports car and make a reservation at the Royal Palm resort, just in case .
Now to the card.....oh my gosh, if you knew how long it took for me to make this work I think you would boot me out of the Sisterhood. Last week we established I am not an engineer, well we can add "tent maker" to that list too. This card started out as a double side step, when trimming the tent I cut half the card off, oops LOL. To give the card some strength and length, I added a fence (the fence is attached to acetate to give it strength). Most of the papers are Graphic45. In the background you can just see Johnnys old jalope (TH stamp) a die cut tree and a very odd looking tent. The grass is made with Martha Stewart fringe scissors, then given a bit of a trim.
Thanks for looking ladies. I'm off to post this to David now.

First off, Susie, I think all of America (probably the world) has fallen in love with the newest Master's Champion! How can a man that good looking come across so humble, kind and nice? Australia has every reason to be so PROUD!!! Well done mates!!!
Now, for your incredible card! Sorry about your struggles, but I would have never guessed, it looks AMAZING!!! Love the vintage golfers and cars! Your whole scene has such a romantic view, sort of dreaminess. It is hard to put into words, but you really display this fantastic "mood" or "tone" that comes across as Old Hollywood. I hope that makes sense. All to say, I LOVE your amazing card. It truly does transport one back in time. I have no doubt, David will LOVE it too!!!

Another one of your fabulous stair steps! Sounds to me as if you are an engineer, using acetate for extra strength. This has an amazing vintage look to it - it reminds me of The Great Gatsby for some reason.

Oh, my - yes, I can imagine how long this would take - I would still be cutting, pasting and coloring - but the result would be far from this fantastic scene/collage. You found such a great way to illustrate your tale!

Susie - Oh my goodness, look at all the work you put into this magnificent retro-looking creation!! Loved your story about its creation and how you did it all, as well as the story for the teaparty - You sure brought out the big guns on this one and David is gonna love it!!
