It's time for another teaparty. This week we are heading to San Antonio, Texas - we are bringing some happy mail and teapotter love to Denise. She has been brought to our attention by fellow Teapotter/SCSer SparklePlenty1000 (Phyllis)
Denise Maurer is having some serious health issues and needs a little love from the tea party. Denise is an artist and paints a lot of trees and landscapes. She likes cats and flowers especially tulips and roses.
I'm bringing some beautiful pink roses to cheer Denise up. I hope you will come and join our teaparty and send Denise some happy mail.
My roses are from Stampin Up's Fifth Avenue Floral set. I Stamped the roses with versa mark ink and embossed with white embossing powder on Kraft cardstock. Painted the inside of the roses using my aquapainter and craft white ink (got this idea from one of Karen Barber's beautiful cards). Let the ink dry and then coloured the roses in with pretty in pink, regal rose and melon mambo markers. Cut out a rose mask and stamped the leaves (Studio G) using vintage sepia ink. Stamped over top of the roses with Sanded backgrounder (Stampin Up) using the vintage sepia ink. Distressed the edges and sponged edges with vintage sepia ink. I made the bow and attached to card. Matted image with pretty in pink cardstock, distressed edges and then sewed around the image panel with brown thread. Made the tag, attached a jump rink and tied it around the bow. Base card is 5 1/2" square brown cardstock.
This is also for Sunday's featured stamper challenge. Mary Brown has this weeks honor. Here is Mary's lovely flower card that inspired me. I loved the pretty flowers and embossed frame with the ribbon treatment. I added the sewing and sentiment tag, different ribbon treatment. Thanks for the inspiration, Mary. Sorry I am late for the challenge.
Hugs..Pat

This is gorgeous. I love how you embosses with the white embossing powder on the roses. It makes them stand out. How pretty and vintage this looks. The tag is darling.
