Bridget selected MaryR as the Featured Stamper for this week. Mary has a terrific gallery of wonderful cards and also has a superb sense of color....she is one of the hosts of the weekly Color Challenge.
I was drawn to this spring CARD of hers. Hers featured a lilac blossom while I went with another spring flower, the hyacinth. Hers was a CAS card, mine morphed into one that was not! : ) My image had a lot going on so I added no other embellishment than the twine and tag. My card also fit with yesterday's Limoges Box IC.
A well-deserved honor, Mary. Congratulations.

Very realistic hyacinth due to the fabulous coloring and the visible bulb. You were so right. It is so pretty and natural that little else needed to be added.

I love hyacinths for easter! They are so beautiful with all their tiny blossoms, much like the lilacs of MAry's card. I don't like them in the house though......their intense smell gets to me after a while. I love your image!!!!

Ooooo, this is lovely, Sallie. You have chosen such pretty and soft colors, and I love your sponging and distressing. Your coloring and shading of the hyacinth makes the flower just leap off the page. A gorgeous tribute to our FS

Sallie, the first thing that drew me to your card is your wonderful coloring and sponging. The lighter area around your stunning hyacinth really shows it off to the max!

Gorgeous hyacinth card! It reminds me I want to go outside and take a picture because my daffodils are in bloom. Hyacinths will be next.
