I'm one card short of my Christmas quota for January, and I'd stamped and coloured this image last night. So this evening I've worked it into the Mix-Ability challenge to use matt and gloss media.
5 3/4" square base sponged with black.
I used wrinkle free distress to colour my card for the base - tea dye, antique linen, pumice stone, and misted it with water which had a little Perfect Pearls in it. When it was dry I stamped it with a music stamp in Versafine Smokey Grey, and then stamped it with a chicken wire stamp and embossed with copper. I sponged all the edges with Versamark and embossed with Verdrigris ep.
Image was stamped on watercolour paper and coloured with distress inks - tea dye, pumice stone, barn door, fired brick, mustard seed, wild honey, old paper. I added Glossy Accents to the beaks and feet. It's sponged with antique linen, tea dye and peacock feathers.
Sentiment from ODBD stamped on a scrap of the distress background, edges sponged with black. The snowflake is also from ODBD. I just got them, and was playing around practising using the matching dies. This one wasn't stamped perfectly, but after sponging with tea dye and embossing with Iridescent Ice it's perfect with the distress look. Waste not, want not . I like the idea of the hens singing Silent Night - not too musical, I am sure!! Hens, sentiment and snowflake all popped up on foam.
Sorry I can't show the glaze on the beaks, but it is there!
