I certainly didn't do the same lovely technique, but I used a precut oval and spread the ink on. It originally was the other way around. The "sand" was on the bottom and the dark, cloudy sky was on top. I "slept on it" and decided I could make a happier card. Hence...an angry sea, but a nice sunset. Also wanted to use my new Paper Inspirations stamp from Hobby Lobby.
