I am so excited. I went to a class this weekend in hopes to develop a love for brayering. Definitely succeeded. This card is for two challenges and uses a technique I learned at the class. The challenges are:
TLC411 - The Best of 2012
FS309 - Honoring FS Janelle (aka dizzymommie)
Janelle has a wonderful gallery, and the card of hers that I chose to case was:
For the TLC challenge, I went back to TLC378 Brayered Paper Elements. For my image panel, I took black glossy cardstock as my canvas. I then put a few drops of white acryllic paint on a piece of cellophane, spritzed it with water, squished the cellophane, unfolded, ran brayer through, and quickly ran brayer in one direction on the glossy cs.
Once I got the effect I wanted, I spritzed the cs with 2 different color washes (purple and gold). After it dried, I cut the finished brayered cs in 4 pieces, and when I did I discovered the one piece reminded me of mountains covered with a fog. So I stamped a bamboo silhouette in black off to the side to finish the scene.
One word of advice. Should you use acryllic paint on your brayer, make sure you immediately immerse your brayer in warm soapy water to clean it. This was a fun class and I have a new love for my brayer.
Thanks so much for looking, and I hope you like it Off to work now, I will be back later to comment on others.

WOW! What a fabulous looking card. I love my brayer, now that Nancy (stiz2003) taught me how to use it! This sounds like a very interesting technique to try.

What a fabulous card, Barb! I love the colors and effect you've achieved. And thanks for reminding me of that brayer tech. I had totally forgotten about it and I don't use my brayer nearly enough
