I've had so much fun playing with this mitten die. I initially got it because I often knit mittens as gifts and thought that it would be a fun card/tag to go with the gift but have found there are other reasons to use it. There are no mittens made to go with this card, lol.
On the cuff of the mitten I scored every 1/8" across and about 3/8" in length (on the reverse side) to create the illusion of a knit rib. I also added a corrugated strip to continue the look of a cuff and sponged white ink around the mitten edge, and then flowers were added for a feminine touch.
Edited to add: this card fit this week's Ways To Use It Challenge to show what our 2012 Resolution was. Well, I don't make resolutions because they are too hard to keep but I do make challenges to myself and this year's was to only use designer paper that I had on hand and to use up the packages of flowers and embellies that are stuffed into my craft drawers and not being used. I was delighted with both my dp and flowers choices for this card. I forgot I even had those beautiful flowers and while I love the dp, I didn't know how to use it before being inspired by this new die
Thanks for looking! I hope it helps to inspire you to create a card.

That has got to be one of the loveliest and beautiful mittens I've ever seen!! I love the colors and beautiful patterned paper. Your flowers are beautiful, too. I love every inch of your card!
