I've had this stamp for a while and thought it was time to color and use it. I've had it a few years and when I first starting making cards, I knew I absolutely could do it no justice with my coloring. Now, I find to easy, just time consuming.
I'm entering two challenges here on SCS. One is Understand Blue's HYCCT1201A. The challenge is to make a card that reflects your style. I think I am an eclectic stamper, but I have to choose, so I can tell you that Christmas cards and wintry cards with snowmen are my favorite to make. No snowman here but a big ol' Christmas santa.
My card is for the Queen for the Day, Claudia aka cjzim. I found this card in her wonderful gallery of super cards. F4A129, Ombre, Sailboat by cjzim at Splitcoaststampers I used her sketch as there is not a lot to be done with this big Santa taking up the complete card. I had to make it 5 x 7 to do this. I left off the ribbon and button and did not use Claudia's technique, as beautiful as it was.
Claudia, I hope you're enjoying your week of royalty.

Wow Benzi - your coloring is the star of this show!!! That Santa is stunning and looks absolutely fabulous in blue. If the real Santa saw this I'm certain he's want to go shopping for a new suit!!!! Seriously - this is gorgeous.
