This technique is so amazing and fun - inspiration came from last week's Featured Stamper and a recent Queen - both of whom have AMAZING galleries and talent.
Our FS this week was VDM aka Vicki Mears - and I enjoyed all of her beautiful designs, but my heart skipped a beat when I saw this beauty: {VickiÂ’s Gorgeous BlowinÂ’ in the Wind Card}. I'd seen this technique before but had never tried it, so decided it was time. Thankfully I was able to find an EF that would work!
Inspiration also came from a very sweet and amazing stamper - and our QFTD from August 9th - BarbP aka Barbie aka Barb. She is such a special person who gives many of her cards away to our troops and such a sweetheart here on SCS, and when I realized I'd missed her special week it made me sad. So my apologies Barb - for being just a bit late!! Hugs my friend!
The background was created by brayering three different colors onto my EF - the three colors were More Mustard, Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze, lightest to darkest (brayering was done Zindorf style . Then I mounted the frame and added the butterflies, white bakers twine and sentiment.
Thank you Vicki and Barb for sharing your beautiful cards with us - it was a pleasure visiting your galleries .
This card is for a special SIL in NJ.
Thanks and Hugs Everyone,
Audrey

WOW!!! was my first thought when I clicked on this stunning card! IT IS AMAZING... the colors are just delicious and your design carrying through the scallops ROCKS! Where did you get WHITE bakers twine? I want some!!! I also don't know what brayering on in the ZINDORF style is...but then I have brayered very little.. you put a smiley after it..was that an inside joke or is it something I need to learn? :-) At any rate I love everything about this card and think you should put it on the challenge at Joan's Garden! Definitely a fav of mine this week!!!!

OMGracious, Audrey. This is drop dead gorgeous. You sure know how to dress up a card. The colors are so vibrant, and wonderful combination for a fall birthday. And all your beautiful pearls on those gorgeous butterflies, and around the sentiment make this card a show-stopper. Your SIL is going to love it. Thank you so much for honoring me with your card, Audrey. You made my day

Twinzi, you are back and with a boom! My gosh, this is soooo beautiful. I LOVE your framing, the Letterpress technique, colors and beautiful b/fly. I adore the elegant way you did the sentiment with the little tiny pearls and sponging. I can see this was made with a whole lotta luv. Made the favorites for the week - Woo Hoo!

Absolutely gorgeous card. I have not tried using the EF with the brayering technique, but after seeing this beauty I may have to give it a try. TFS the card and the directions.
