This week our cards are going off to the Mother of a fellow Scs'er and Teapotter, Kathleen Lammie. Kathleen's Mom, Dorothea, has just been re-diagnosed once again with cancer. So the Teapotters are heading to Alabama to bring some of the wonderful Teapotter cheer to Dorothea! Dorothea will also be celebrating her 81st birthday on Wednesday.
For this colorful card of flowers, I typed up the verse on the computer, then embossed with this new ef from Sizzix. I then colored the embossed areas with Pebbles I.Kan.Dee pearlescent chalks and sprayed with an art fixative. Attached a sheer polka dotted bow to a button with embroidery floss and tied another bow.
Happy Birthday Dorothea, warm thoughts and prayers are being sent your way!

Jennifer, a breath-takingly beautiful card for Dorothea. Your work is always exceptional and one can tell you put a lot into each of your creations. This is another one worthy of its own little shadow box.
Jennifer this is beautiful. It's like a walk in the spring. I can smell the fresh air just looking at this. It's elegant and I love the coloring on it. I hardly ever use chalks and I think I need to give them a try again.

Great ef! I really like the depth that the chalks gives to all the flowers. Beautifully done!
