This is my card for today's Ways To Use It challenge #388. Cathy is our hostess and she wants us to use a school tool somewhere on our creation.
For my card, I used an embossed schoolhouse image I found in my stash. It's from "embossable designs" and I bought it years ago from qvc.
I stamped the welcome sentiment on the tree. It's from the "warm words" set by SU.
My card base is early espresso and I layered it with riding hood red cardstock and the striped dsp is from SU's story time" collection.
I added some ruler ribbon and used a MS border punch to complete my card.
This one is going off to my daughter-in-law in San Francisco who is a school teacher. I packed a box of goodies today and put the card in before I took a photo. So I had to remove tape to open it back up again to get the card (lol).
I am also adding this to the August fan Club gallery-central theme of "in the neighborhood" challenge. We have a high school in our neighborhood- although it's not a 1 room schoolhouse-but a rather pricey $90 million building.

Excellent card for our theme this month! Love the ruled ribbon, the schoolhouse image is perfect and I know that you DIL will love it too! Hats off to her for being a teacher (they work so hard) and thanks for sharing with all of us :-)
