Feel like going for a drive? Me too. Wish I HAD a red convertible.
For today's WT challenge:
something blue: the sky
something new: some images & the convertible die
something old: the ink, embossing powder, the die cut ovals (from my stash, cut who knows how long ago)
something borrowed: the sketch (from yesterday's challenge)
So this is also for the sketch challenge. The hardest part of this card was paper piecing the convertible. I had to use the debossed side in order for it to face right so I could put the penguin in the driver's seat. The little scene was stamped onto die cut oval I already had in my stash. So was the red oval behind. I sponged on some blue for the sky then white embossed the snowflakes on top. The sentiment was also embossed and just between us, I used the center of the big red oval then die cut the smaller oval out of it. That way I didn't have to try and find a matching piece of red and really, who's gonna see it behind the top layer? The lacy snowflake sections were snipped and glued onto the card front and were part of die cut I had sitting there. Love it when I get to use so many leftovers! The finished card is 5.50 x 4.25.
Thanks so much for looking! My blog:The Write Stuff. Sorry! I had to delete a bunch of really old posts from my blog & this is one of them.

Julie you are amazing. You create the greatest scenes! That penguin driving that bright red convertable is adorable and your scene in the back ground with those great embossed snowflakes and the cute little snow man is just so PERFECT! Love it!
