No wonderful sunny beaches or children romping outdoors here. Missouri/ Illinois/Kansas...and more states are going through a summer of killer heat waves...temperatures of 100+ for weeks on end. So far, at least 14 people have died because of the heat here in St. Louis. Farmer's crops and livestock are withering. Not a fun summer for outside activities.
I don't own such a cheerless little stamp so I had to freehand my image. Brown is the color of the day.....unless you water copiously. It hasn't really rained for what seems like months.

Perfect card for describing the weather and drought, Sallie. Very clever but also sad, isn't it? Good job with the plant.

This is exactly how I feel about the weather, and I am in California. My mom has been in Illinois in that weather, some days without air conditioning. She is ok, but I do worry. Fantastic interpretation of the challenge - captures how I feel perfectly.

Oh my gosh, Sallie, that free hand drawing is fantastic - even though what it depicts is so sad, it is a perfect representation of the heat out there.
Wonderful CAS, love the scored lines and the soft coloring! Hmm, might have to get my "rain dance" gear out soon, but somehow think praying will get it done better!! Take care of yourself and stay out of the heat!! Hugs!

A very fitting portrait of what it has been like Sallie! We finally had rain here in Northern Indiana but too little too late for a lot of the farmers' corn fields.

Yikes!!! I was aware of your horrible weather, but (since we don't have TV) I hadn't really seen any images of the wilting farms till the other day. So while it's no laughing matter, I know, this made me smile.
I'd love to swap some of our rain for a little of your heat! Farmers here are having trouble getting enough dry weather to get the silage harvested!

Though it is so sad, this made me smile. You really have an eye. I love it. My dd MacKenna will be attending Ottawa University in KS and playing soccer.....oh, the humidity!
